RE-ELECT GORDON SALISBURY
THIS TIME FOR DEPUTY MAYOR
I believe in Consensus not Confrontation. The next Council must both listen to and accept advice from all our
residents, if we are to put UNITY back in our COMMUNITY.
As your Councillor, I have served with many dedicated volunteers on six Township Committees:
Beaches: Our family lives on the beach, but also walks and uses other beaches. We do not want this to change.
How then can we object if others do the same at our beach? When the Provincial Mediator has gone, I hope we will
all have found ways to continue the traditional use of our beaches.
NOBODY WANTS Wasaga North
EVERYBODY AGREES “Take only photographs, leave only footprints”.
NOBODY REALLY WANTS costly lawsuits, or to build fences to the water’s edge.
Parking: A Permanent Parking Committee drawn from a fair cross section of residents will ensure the continued
acceptance of a strong strategy and prevent “Wasaga North”.
Taxes: We can reduce costs for Consultants, Lawyers and Surveyors by making better use of our staff, who are keen
to show what they can do.
Official Plan: The new “environment first” Official Plan is excellent, but will not improve the economic future
of our business community, who need help in surviving in today’s world.
Amalgamation: With Midland, Penetanguishene and Tay … is not in Tiny’s best interests. Amalgamation does NOT
have my support.
My wife and I live in Tiny year round. We do not "go south" for the winter. Our family totals 13 (sons,
daughters & grandchildren). Born in London England in 1931, I spent 2 years in the British Army, and 6 years
in Volunteer Army Emergency Reserve. We came to Canada in 1957 and to Tiny in 1972. I was a successful businessman
until my retirement. Canada and Tiny have been very good to us.
