CANDIDATE FOR TINY TOWNSHIP COUNCILLOR

A main objective of Council is to develop effective and cost efficient policies and programs. This in turn will enable township administration and staff to administer and deliver these programs as efficiently as possible.

I am asking for your support in electing me as Councillor for this next term of municipal office. I have always been very proud of what our Township of Tiny has to offer ... a diversified rural setting combined with a beautiful shoreline.

BACKGROUND

• 21 years as a Volunteer Firefighter, the last 6 years as Deputy Chief
• Past Director of Simcoe District Co-operative where I served as President during the restructuring of the Ontario Co-op system
• Past member and President of the Lafontaine Parks & Recreation Association
• Secretary-treasurer of the Simcoe County Milk Producer Committee
• Secretary-treasurer of the North Simcoe Agricultural Advisory Committee

All of these positions have allowed me to broaden my knowledge and experience which I will apply to fulfil my responsibilities as a Council member for Tiny Township.


Good leadership will develop effective and cost efficient policies and programs. As Council members, this will be our objective and responsiblity. A key player in bringing these policies and programs to fruition is the Township's administrative staff. We must fill these positions and rebuild staff morale. It is unfair to expect administration and staff to deliver effectively without a full staff roster and allowing them the scope to work without interference.


Pierre Paul is a life-long resident of Tiny and lives in the Lafontaine area with his wife and children.
